There are four national schools in Moycullen parish. As well as coaching support for hurling in the schools from Galway Coaching and Games, CIMC is providing direct coaching in each of the schools through Kenneth Clancy and the Roinn Na nGaeltachta supported Galway Coaching & Games coach Gearóid Ó'Flatharta.
The Club has also assisted the schools with transport to Baile Doite when needed but every effort is made to maximise the tome available by using the facilities in each school. In recent years, coaching has been continuing in Caladh na Muc at the request of the school and this continues this term. A number of young players in Oughterard and Killanin play hurling with Moycullen.
The major competition event for school children in the parish is the Fr Fitzgerald Cup, which is normally held on St Patrick's Day and is open to all national school children in the parish. In 2012 for the first time a competition was held for older children (3rd-6th class) and a parallel competition was held for 1st and 2nd classes.
Each school takes part in their relevant section in the county Cumann na mBunscoil competitions. Different sections exist with 7-a-side, 9-a-side and 11-a-side competitions relevant to the schools size and different grades based on the strenghth of hurling within the school,
