Junior Game cancellation replaced by challenge tomorrow

While the Junior game against Gort tonight (Friday) may have fallen victim to the elements, there will be adult hurling action this weekend with a challenge arranged for Baile Doite for 6pm tomorrow (Saturday) against Kilbeacanty.
More action on Sunday in Clarinbridge where the U14 A1 team contests the Shield final against Loughrea at 2pm. The team will be looking to build on a great semi-final win against Cappataggle last Monday evening and to overturn the group result away to Loughrea a few week's ago. It has been a long campaign with 7 group games, 3 Toddie Byrne Cup games and the Shield semi-final so far. Win or lose the team has shown it is well able to compete with the top 16 teams in the county. At Senior level, that is the group stages of the Championship, which is where we hope these guys will be in 4/5 years.
Congratulations to Conor Noone who has survived the cut to make the panel of 30 at the Galway Minors. Conor was a late choice for the original 60, so great input on his part to hold his own thus far. No-one can rest on their laurels yet though as a number of marque players are set to return from injury. We know Conor will keep working hard and hopefully he will get the rewards.
