Minor Presentation Night well attended
Post date: Feb 18, 2013 8:59:46 PM
Last Friday night saw the presentation of medals to the 2012 Minor B1 Champions at Arus Uilinn. Clubs are directed not to have events specific to underage events where alcohol is served, so Arus Uilinn was an ideal venue for the event while renovations continue at our own clubhouse.
Michael Haverty, who has been a most successful trainer of the Galway Minor team over the last decade, did the honours in presenting medals to our Minor winners. The players were able to relax, have the banter and watch their video of the final. Manager of the winning Minor team, Jimmy Donohoe and Michael Haverty both said a few words. Both are currently plotting the future of the Mágh Cuilinn Senior team in 2013.
The other major event of the night was Mc Cann's Centra sponsorship of jerseys for the Minors. Serena Guihan of Mc Cann's Centra was on hand to present the jerseys to for the 2013 Minor campaign. Serena has her Championship to think about as she is in the running for Stars of Grocery Management 2012 and Cumann Iománaíocht Máigh Cuilinn wish her and all involved the very best.Good Luck, Serena
There was a decent representation of parents and supporters there to enjoy the event. It was also good to see some of the Senior players on hand to lend support also. After all the formalities were completed the company enjoyed some finger food (generously provided and delivered by Ann Marie from The Forge) and refreshments. The 2012 Management team also received medals to commemorate the club's first Minor success since 1989.From l-rTom McDermott, Michael Haverty, Jimmy Donohue, Niall Malone
