Must Win Game For Minors

Mágh Cuilinn Minors take on Abbeyknockmoy with home advantage in their final group game in Group A of the Minor B Championship. As the table below shows, the team must win to hang on to their current fourth position but even a win does not guarantee fourth spot as bigger wins for Ahascragh Fohenagh and Rahoon Salthill could see Mágh Cuilinn overtaken on scoring difference,

With question marks surrounding the availablity of some players, nothing can be taken for granted. The omens are though as Mágh Cuilinn have one all their home fixtures so far and Abbeyknockmoy are yet to impress, Equally while Rahoon/Salthill will look to have a straightforward task against Michael Cusacks, Ahascragh will surely find the going tough against Killimor. The Carnmore/Cois Fharraige game is also a knockout affair as the loser is very likely to be overtaken by 2 or even all 3 of the teams on 6 points. In the event of a draw Carnmore look most vulnerable with their scoring difference already behind that of Mágh Cuilinn and Rahoon Salthill. What all the teams hope is that there are no walkovers given as this could result in play-offs involving as many as 5 teams.
